Coronavirus (COVID –19) Update

The Cram Foundation is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our staff and participants during the escalating risk of the COVID-19 Virus.

As a provider of Disability Support, we are working with our teams, families, and other disability providers to identify the best approach to this unprecedented situation. Cram is vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation daily and are taking precautions where necessary to protect our staff, our participants, and our visitors. We are also working closely with staff to keep them up to date.

Cram recognises that some of the changes we are making will impact our staff and our community and apologise for any inconveniences caused. The health and safety of our participants is of utmost importance. We thank you for your patience as we adjust our programs to safeguard our community.

We will continue to communicate directly with participants and families about any changing precautionary measures.

The following immediate changes are being made to our services to:

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

SIL will continue with additional hygiene controls and precautionary measures in place. We have ceased all non-essential travel, instead encouraging participants to do home-based activities and outdoor activities within walking distance. • have recently returned from overseas travel in the previous 14-days, OR
  • had contact with anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the previous 14-days, OR
  • currently have any flu-like symptoms such as cough (new or worsening), sore throat or shortness of breath with or without fever (>37.5°C).

Support Coordination

Cram’s Support Coordination services will continue with all meetings will be held over the phone or via video conferencing.

Community Participation

Non-essential excursions into the community will be ceasing and where possible, lower risk alternatives will be implemented. We will continue to communicate with those affected.

In-home Support

Essential in-home support will continue with additional hygiene and cleaning measures in place.

Specialist Disability Support (SDA)

Cram is providing assistance with Specialist Disability Accommodation with all meetings for the time being held over the phone and via video conferencing where possible.
